Title: “THIS LAND REMEMBERS OUR FOOTPRINTS “
Summer Dales
A sense of place- a personal vision of this craggy dale.
A homage to the many feet who have walked this land. All the sounds, conversations, laughter, curlews cry absorbed by limestone. Over time bearing witness to our meanderings. Here showing a patterned landscape, a vertical climb portrayed in hues of teal and violet, with pops of metallic gold and pink of summer light. Notice where the sky mergers with land. The granulation is a commentary on summer showers falling to the rock, both wearing and forming the limestone before flowing to the deep blue stream trickling down the crag where flecks of summer sunshine dances over its surface.
Pure water of the Dales is used to mix the paint used with particles of limestone embellishing each canvas.
