I’ve built up layers of dried leaves and moss amongst bare twigs topped with bright yellow witch hazel flowers to mark the end of a long Winter and the start of Spring. Curling acer leaves mirror the curls of the witch hazel flowers. This piece comes out of the frame, like Spring just waiting to get going as the days grow longer.
