Most of my paintings are created using acrylics or oils but I also experiment with other media too.

Mainly, my inspiration is the stunning South Yorkshire countryside on my doorstep and the dramatic, raw beauty of the North Yorkshire coast. I love painting what I’ve seen and experienced. It could be a mood, a feeling, a brooding atmosphere, the play of light and shadows, or the direct stare of an animal that completely stops me in my tracks and has me reaching for my sketchbook and camera to record that transient moment in time.
