Andrew Moodie

Born and bred in Glasgow, I now live in the Yorkshire spa town of Harrogate. Having managed to retire early from a busy career as a commercial lawyer, I am delighted to now be able to follow my boyhood dream of being an artist.

I am honoured to be an Associate Artist with Unison Colour Soft Pastels and my principal medium continues to be the pastel. However, I love working in mixed media, using inks, acrylics, graphite and oil and soft pastels in various combinations. I also enjoy working in oils.

My subjects are varied, but although I enjoy figurative and portraiture, my first love is to be outside seeking to capture the landscape around me.

I enjoy textures and using lively mark making to create work that is full of energy and expression.
