It was a cool August day in Northumberland. We packed our lunch and drove to Dunstanburgh Golf Club and parked on the roadside just before you get to the club. These parking spaces are limited so it’s worth getting there as early as possible.

We made our way across the sand dunes and walked onto the beach. What an amazing view you get of Dunstanburgh Castle, it’s an apsolutely stunning beach and scenery. It really does take your breath away and make you feel alive.

I walked bare foot along the shore line towards to castle for a closer look. Other people were there walking dogs and flying kites on the beach. My kids and husband were body boarding in the sea, trying to catch the perfect wave. These days and memories are always so special.
