Title: Whitby Cliff Face
A pencil drawing of the cliffs at Whitby. I was interested in the shapes, composition and striations of colour in the cliff face. I used pencil and coloured pencil to try and represent the layering of the rock formations. I used pencil shading and line work to try and enhance the sense of movement with the changing tide and the juxtaposition between the solidity of the rock and erosion of the coastline.
