I spend a lot of time walking in woodland and forests. I also mourn their loss as much of the ancient woodland has been destroyed by our activity as humans. I want to evoke a feeling of the usual peaceful calmness of the woodland here, with its soothing green, but there is also the sense of threat and mystery – something is telling us we don’t belong here…
