“The Pursuit of Glory” depicts that accumulated moment in time where hopes are high.. the whole team watches with anticipation.. has all the hard work and dedication been enough? Will their elite horse possess the speed, stamina and character to come to the fore and emerge as the memorable champion?

I have intentionally painted this watercolour as an original monochrome painting, casting aside the colour spectrum to intensify the drama and focus on the visual power of black and white and all tones inbetween.

Painted on 300gsm Saunders Waterford® High White watercolour paper, with paints from the Winsor and Newton professional watercolour range. It is framed in a high quality, modern black frame, with a warm white, double mount surround. Sealed and strung, ready to hang straight on the wall.
