Title: The Black Swan on the River Douglas
I have painted this vessel as it was returning to Tarlton on the River Douglas after a weekend at Lytham St Annes. I would often pass it as I made my own way out of the Ribble Estuary. It was quite a characterful boat (Its owner used to claim that he had designed it himself) and I made many drawings of it at its moorings, and as it moved around the Rivers Ribble and Douglas!
