Solar Wind is from my Heartland Watercolours series. I painted this in my usual way for this series (see below) and when I’d finished I just felt it had a ‘cosmic’ feel to it, with the suggestion of nebulae and stars in and around the bowl, so I thought of the title Solar Wind, which seemed perfect. This is an unusual picture, with chrysanthemums in a colourful, almost abstracted, setting.
