Title: ‘shakin that ass’

‘shakin that ass’

as the words reverberate around my brain i have a lovely lasting memory of a past student, ‘the guru’, who dealt with so many health and mental issues was a delight to be with. as i had set up a car washing project as part of the young enterprise scheme, he was the ‘go to’ member in the team. polishing the same part of the car, over and over again – even when it was being washed! repeating ‘i got you baby shaking that ass’ as he did so. a pure memory….

part of the pure series that explores short phrases or sentences. they are simple to look at, yet they can hide a complex process of colour choices, positioning and relationship to the text. there’s a saying that a picture paints a thousand words, but sometimes a phrase or a selection of words can raise questions or take you on a journey. it all depends on the words used and what order they are placed. It’s an adventure creating vivid images from my weirdly fascinating mind, which is not always pure!

or in fact, the words just might make you smile
