Title: Paddling With Purpose

After being locked down for months – no school, no playing with friends and no travelling we managed to take my grand daughter for a few days in Seahouses. On arrival we went to the beach and from the second we left the car Scarlett was heading for the sea. Nothing was going to stop her. There could have been barbed wire and barricades and she would have gone through the lot. No time to stop for her costume in spite of all the “come backs! ” The sea was there right in front of her and she was going for it. I love this determination in my grand daughter and we share a love of all things coastal. I had to make a painting of it because although I will always remember it hopefully this will be a memory for her too as she gets older.
