One of the peaceful safe spaces of my Reverie series. I often think about the tiny lives supported by dense clumps of foliage and love, in particular, to find myself by calm waters at dusk, when the silhouettes of moths appear like fairies. As with all the paintings of this series, this is as much about the foreground in focus as it is about the unknown distance, obscured by mist.
