Title: Mending ‘Good Fellowship’ 1
Assessing the boat’s problem at low tide in Seahouses Harbour these two men seemed to be the advance party checking out the situation while others made preparations on the dockside. This is one of three paintings I made of this sequence of events at low tide in Seahouses harbour. I was fortunate enough to to have the time to make sketches, as this was quite a long repair taking most of the workable tide. The faces of the men were rarely visible as they concentrated on their task on what was a very gloomy day. However there was quite a collection of individual jumpers and wellies on show so I made the most of them. I have seen the same jumpers and wellies fixing other boats since.
