Based on a field near my home where we often walk our dog. Painted in an impressionistic style with bold colours and outlined shapes. I love the way that the pathway meanders through the crop and into the distance where you can just see a person shoulder riding a child. With harvest mice, vibrant red poppies and seed heads in the foreground. This was an acrylic on canvas artwork produced for the ‘Spot on the Wall’ annual exhibition held at The Station in Richmond, where I’m happy to say was sold.
