Title: Blacktip Shark Oil Painting – “Brave”
The sharks in my paintings represent the fear you feel not knowing what is lurking in the deep when you go for a swim. Although the blacktop shark is not to be feared, they are still a little scary right? These sharks are commonly found in coral reefs, bays and shallow waters. But fear not, these are not serious threat.
Being near or in the ocean can make you happier and healthier. Humans, when in or around water feel an immeasurable sense of peace. Which is important when being in the over-stimulated state of modern life. I strive to bring the calming colour of blue into your home for a relaxing atmosphere.
Hang this up in your home to remind you that sharks are not to be feared and the calming colours of blue will create a relaxing atmosphere. The water is a magical place and we all need to experience this a little more.
Painted in a unique way with small dots in an impressionistic style with tones of prussian blue. Lighter and darker shades where added to create dimension. The shades of blue were all mixed using white, black and prussian blue.
