This whale tale oil painting. Inspired by the feeling you get when you go for a swim in a lake or the open ocean. Swimming in open waters is both metal and physically good for you. Evoking feelings of euphoria and achievement. Capturing the movement of the whale tale sliding back into the ocean with splashes of blue oil colours, flooding the room with energy.

Painted with oil paints and sand from the beach. I mixed together sand and oil paints to create a bumpy texture and make it that little bit more connected to the ocean. Using my usual pointillism technique.
