Title: Staithes Harbour
The quaint village of Staithes has a unique charm, with its towering cliffs, huddled cottages, and winding, narrow streets. This is one of my favourite coastal villages.
Standing beside the lobster pots on North Side, looking out over the harbour brings back memories of walks along the cliff top path before returning to a welcome lunch in the Cod and Lobster. Reminiscing about rock pooling and fossil hunting as a child and strolling along the small sandy beach with my grandparents while enjoying an ice cream. Happy days.
This original watercolour is painted on 300gsm Saunders Waterford® High White watercolour paper, with paints from the Winsor and Newton professional watercolour range. This combination offers excellent protection against discolouration, and will maintain true permanence where the colours won’t change or fade over time. Limited edition prints are also available from my website meganyoungfineart.com (Print run of 200)
