One of a series of paintings based on my memories of growing up in working class northern town in the 1950’s and 60’s. I remember standing outside the tap room waiting for my Dad to bring me out a bottle of pop and a bag of crisps. Evert time the door opened you got the smell of stale beer and fags and the room would be full of smoke and noise.
