Title: Steel River Seal
Young Grey seal waiting for mum on the rocks of the Tees mouth known as North Gare. The grey seal colonies had once abandoned the Steel river as the pollution from the heavy industry had killed the fish that they fed upon. For a myriad of reasons the river has recovered, the salmon are breeding again and the grey seals have returned. This particular colony is thriving and expanding every year.
