‘Don’t Call Me Pretty’ is a handmade jacket which is hand embroidered with iconography which challenges stereotypes of textiles and embroidery. I created this piece as a modern day rebellion against my own prejudice towards textiles and the connotations of the ‘Feminine’ within the textile craft world.
