Title: An Event at Flasby Top

An evening walk in winter brings us to Flasby Top on the Road between Gargrave and Hetton, just before the turning into the village of Flasby in the Yorkshire Dales.
Climbing towards the cottage at the top of the village, the scene is unexpectedly and dramatically changed by an approaching car. For a moment, the darkness is disturbed as this quiet winter evening becomes fully illuminated by the car headlights on the other side of the hill. Details of the trees, fences and walls briefly emerge from the darkness lending a slightly disturbed and eerie feeling to the scene. As the car passes, darkness returns and we are left alone in this quiet place.
