One Abstract by Paula Walker

Paula Walker is a local self-taught abstract artist, working in West Yorkshire. She first became interested in art as a young child and has homed and developed this interest for nearly 30 years. Her work is inspired by nature, the world and world issues. Working mostly with acrylic and mixed media on canvas and paper, she creates prominent pieces. Recent works are inspired by the beauty of rare emeralds, gemstones, and climate change.

Some of her work is planned from her experiences, some come together through the spontaneous exploration of colour, texture, light and her interest in interior design.

    I love to showcase my work at West Yorkshire craft/maker/art markets, as well as city centre coffee shops. For the past couple of years I have worked on a commission basis for a local business that provides luxury holiday homes across Yorkshire.
