Hi, we are Peter and Anita, (hence the name PandA). At the time we started our art journey we both worked at the local Foundation Trust Hospital in Middlesbrough and in order to help our health & wellbeing during the stressful times created as a result of the Covid pandemic we needed to find something we could do together, in our spare time, that helped relieve some of the pressure.
One night whilst scrolling through You Tube videos we watched Molly from Molly’s Artistry attempting to throw a plastic colander on her head before using it to create the most gorgeous piece of acrylic pouring art we had ever seen…..from that point on, we were hooked!
We are self-taught, and have learnt so much by trial and error (or “happy accidents as we like to call them!!).
We have become a little obsessed, we paint as often as we can and what started out in July 2020 as a small scale craft to keep us occupied has now completely taken over our lives and every room in the house is filled with boxes full of paint, canvasses, wooden boards, completed pieces and who knows what else!!
In the beginning we shared a 2 foot square fold away camping table with a wooden board on top of it as our workspace, which we set up in our kitchen every time we painted……….it’s wasn’t very flashy, but it worked for us! Now we have a purpose built studio in the back garden which you can imagine suits our needs much better!
