Mukul Barman

I am a visual artist based in Dhaka, Bangladesh, working primarily in painting to explore identity, emotion, and social realities. My work reflects the quiet tensions within society—unspoken struggles, layered expressions, and the unseen narratives that shape everyday life.

Through color, texture, and symbolism, I aim to create images that feel both intimate and universal. Faces and forms appear frequently in my work, not as portraits of individuals, but as symbols of collective human experience. I am deeply interested in how people adapt, transform, and endure within social and cultural structures.

Exhibiting both locally and internationally has expanded my artistic dialogue beyond borders. I see art as a bridge—connecting cultures, challenging silence, and opening space for reflection.

My practice continues to evolve, yet it remains rooted in honesty, introspection, and a profound curiosity about the human condition.
