Lydia Rain is a visual artist exploring wet, dry and digital media to create impressionistic and abstract works reflecting her neurodivergent navigation of reality. Her use of the accidental in fluid dynamics reflects the natural emergence of form and colour in earthly subjects and stimulates the process of perceptual digestion that enables humans to fabricate reality and form memories. Her works have featured in physical and virtual exhibitions, most recently in Leeds Central Library’s ”Marking Time” and Cole’s Gallery’s “Blend” exhibitions, and can be seen on her regular instagram postings www.instagram.com/lydiarainart. She is based in Leeds, a full time artist with a professional background in education and mental health, and is interested in how art can benefit people’s wellbeing. She is a member of the Blend Collective.
