Lesley Shaw
I am an artist and printmaker working across a range of mediums. Life drawing forms the basis of all my work, the human form and animals are my subjects. I like to work quickly and instinctively trying to capture the beauty and simplicity of the form, looking at the shape and line the body takes. My training is in Fashion Design and Illustration. Having lived and worked in London for more than 20 years, I now work from Pica Studios in York, set within an 18th century print works. I am a member of York Printmakers and the York Art Workers Association.
