Hello! I’m an artist and writer living in Hebden Bridge. Visceral materiality and instinctual mark-making make up the heart of my creative practise. I love to use oil paint, cold wax medium, charcoal and collage materials to achieve my desired texture. I work from my studio at In a Land, where I also teach occasional poetry workshops. I’m currently working towards a fairly weighty body of work exploring feminine sexuality, endurance and rage, and I draw heavy inspiration from the uncanny, folklore, mythology and the brutal Yorkshire landscape.
