DandyArt began in 2019. When I decided to pick up my paintbrushes and produce some art work for my house that my husband and I were renovating. I wanted to create something that was personal and unique, to work with my interior styling. This is my forever home. When we bought the house it was a wreck, no walls – back to the brick, from the ground floor you could see the roof. My home tells a story of my family’s memories and our journey, so I wanted the art work to be part of that.

My initial works were freedom of expression, having fun with gestural mark making, creating energetic brushstrokes and suggestive shapes. Working with subtle and sophisticated colours and textures that were drawn from the interior styles of the rooms.

As I started posting my art work on social media I was overwhelmed by the responses. I started to produce work for others and DandyArt was born.
