I am an Illustrator and Print Designer who loves to get creative and paint subject matter from nature.
I studied at Leeds Arts University for two years and then specialised in Textiles at Manchester School of Art. Since graduating in 2012 I have practised Print Design within fashion, creating prints and graphics for several high street retailers, most recently working for H&M in Sweden for 3 years. For the past year I have been travelling around Australia, working on a freelance basis and taking inspiration from the amazingly varied and unique flora and fauna. Some of the birds that I painted, including the kookaburra and the kingfisher, were inspired by birds that I looked after when I volunteered at an animal rescue centre in Perth, which was an amazing experience.
Going forward I would like to focus more on illustration and creating fine art, as this is where my passion lies. I take inspiration from nature and love to paint flowers and birds using a mixture of watercolour, gouache and coloured pencils as my preferred media. I love realistic, botanical art and tend to focus on detail, repetition and colour, I am constantly practising and striving to improve my technique.
I am open to commissions or suggestions of subject matter so I would love for you to contact me with any questions or requests!
