Zena is a painter, printmaker, photographer and writer who produces monotypes and paintings using acrylics. Through her work, she explores and expresses remembered moods and experiences, rather than the immediate world around her.

Originally from South Yorkshire, Zena has lived in various cities across Europe and beyond, including Heidelberg, Athens, Berlin and Valencia and also England’s Devonshire coast. These cities and influences all feature in her work, from the endless forms of the sea to random, fragmentary images from the past.

Now living in County Durham, she is a member of Sheffield Printmakers, a Studio Gallery Artist on thetinshed and curates the commission-free Volta Gallery online for international women artists.
