Terox
I’m Terox I’m a contemporary graffiti artist from Newcastle upon Tyne. I’m 13. My chosen medium is spray paint & acrylics.
my love for art began when I was around 2/3 visiting local graffiti & galleries. I used to carry a huge Graf book everywhere. I copied the shapes, pattern & bright colours before I could cohesively draw. I’m colour blind so my interpretation was always a little different.I also used found materials to create
As I got older I was allowed a couple spray cans . My first large piece bubbles which I created at 9 was shown at Baltic Gateshead for an extended period. I’m the youngest artist to exhibit there . Since then I’ve shown work in 14 galleries across the U.K. & had 2 solo shows with another this coming August in Ouseburn Gateshead . I’ve done commission pieces for the National centre for children’s books,a mural for Redcar Contemporary, the first mural ever for Tyneside cinema , sprayed at festivals and even painted a bus . I’ve recently been focusing on portraits of family members alongside large contemporary pieces.
I’m inspired by old school hip hop culture. Taking inspiration from Rakim , Nas and artists like basquiat & harring. I draw inspiration from my surroundings sight smells taste ,touch and interpret those with my love of hip hop
id describe my style as a fresh bold colourful expression of how I view the world.
