British abstract artist, Laura Carr, paints from memory and emotion.

Her inspiration comes from the places she’s lived, including London, Yorkshire and Australia.

Her vibrant artwork provides an emotive, uplifting response – a sense of joy and optimism. They’re tranquil yet fun, with confident pops of colour.

Leaving her creative self in her teens, Laura pursued a career in the financial services sector. Although she’s been immersed in the corporate world, Laura’s urge to paint never left her.

“It was only when lockdown forced us all to stand still, did I truly realise what I’d missed. Now I paint whenever I can, from the early mornings to when the kids are in bed. It feels like it’s meant to be.”

Laura lives in Collingham, West Yorkshire, with her husband and two small children.
