I simply love to paint. There’s no better way to relax than to pick up a paint brush and palette and create something beautiful. If you love art but have never thought to create your own – do it, the possibilities are limitless!

I’ve always had a creative side but during my thirty four year career in banking, I lacked opportunity to dedicate time and focus to maximise it. I’m now working part time in education, giving me much more time and freedom to create and explore the possibilities that colour, light, texture and my paint brushes offer. I’m intrigued by the techniques and styles of artists through history, but favour a contemporary and modern style, primarily working with acrylic paints.

Over the last few years I’ve met and learned from several York based artists (Sue Clayton, Karen Winship and Lucie Wake) and they’ve helped and supported me to shape and develop my art – Thanks Ladies!
