An ‘intaglio’ printmaking process; drypoint uses a sharp tool to scratch marks into the surface of a Perspex plate. A print is taken from ink which is held within these marks. A great introductory technique for those interested in Intaglio printmaking – perfect for drawing lovers!
Our taster sessions offer an introduction to some of the key printmaking techniques offered and practiced here at WYPW, and a glimpse into the processes involved in creating hand-made prints. You will be guided and encouraged by experienced artists who use printmaking in their own art practice, in a professionally equipped workshop setting.
