QUICK DESCRIPTION

I was born in Yorkshire and have lived in Leeds but, I currently live in Lancashire on the coast.

I find inspiration from the natural beauty of the Yorkshire Moors and Dales and from the Lancashire coastline. I like painting remote scenes  in a semi-expressionist style with acrylic paint and using a limited colour palatte.

I also work in watercolour paint which I use predominantly for animal portraiture, working in a more realistic style.This is in contrast to my works in acrylic but, reflects my own personality and my evolving art work.

I am a self taught older person and have been painting seriously and with a passion for 3 years.My aim being, to keep progressing, painting the subject matter which interests me and to further exhibit, given the opportunities.
