Come and get your hands inky and your creativity flowing in this taster session workshop which will introduce you to the technique of Collagraph printing; a print process where an image is made from a plate collaged with different textures.

During the workshop you will explore basic collagraph methods using a range of textured papers, vinyls, glues, etc. Textures are added to the plate (mountboard) much like a collage. These collaged pieces can then be inked up to create collagraph print. Emphasis will be on learning collagraph techniques by making a series of abstract prints exploring colour and texture. The session will include making a collagraph plate from scratch, followed by inking and printing methods. You will explore using both relief and intaglio methods to create a range of images.
