Title: Poppies by the Beck 1
This painting is one of a pair created this summer after another hot day up in Swaledale. These becks form the beautiful River Swale . We had a lovely picnic amongst the poppies.
I always paint a bright blue abstract sky with distant colourful hills and I promise the beck was this blue!.I add layers and layers of oils to create the hills.There are always larger than life almost 3d flowers at the front of my paintings.I hope the viewer smiles as their eyes open wide as they walk through these scenes up the becks to the start of the river Swale.
The paintings are varnished and signed.
