Title: Drovers’ Road -Poppies 1

A glorious hot summers day walk in Dent Dale behind Whernside and Ingleborough this year inspired this colourful series of two paintings. Each shows a different angle of the Drovers’ Road and is full of the bright poppies that were everywhere.
I always paint a bright blue abstract sky with distant colourful hills.I add layers and layers of oils with patterns of stonewalls. There are always larger than life almost 3d flowers at the front of my paintings.I hope the viewer smiles as their eyes open wide as they walk through these scenes up the Drovers’ Road.
The paintings are varnished and signed.
