Title: Daffodils by Aysgarth Gate. Part 2
There is a beautiful tiny gate in a stonewall above Aysgarth which caught my eye in the spring. It inspired two paintings showing Wensleydale behind the spring daffodils. I always continue my paintings around the edge of the canvas block . My paintings are created over many months as I revisit and add more layers of detail. I always hope the final large bright flowers will make the viewer smile .
My paintings are finished with dammar varnish to enhance the colours and protect the oil.
