Hello and welcome

Thank you for taking the time to take a look around and explore.
I am an artist who has lived in several parts of Yorkshire, including Wensleydale, in the Yorkshire Dales. Yorkshire is engrained in my very soul, and I am so lucky to live in this special part of the world.

INSPIRATION

My inspiration comes from lots of places and I paint intuitively, connected to the inner part of me, to transform shape, colours, textures, light to reveal the hidden layers and depths of everything around us.

I am inspired by the ever-changing landscape and never get tired of it, it brings me peace and harmony and as I often say “does your heart good”. I love texture, moss, stone walls, old gates, cracked paint, walking, water, sounds of nature.

INTENTION

My intention is to connect with the energies around and within me, whether this is from the changing landscape, water, the air, the earth, the sky, the light, the wind, the sun. My intention is to make visible the things that are invisible.

MEDIA

I use different media and do not like to be “fixed” to just one way of working. My current work is in acrylics and mixed media. However, you may also see my work in watercolour, pastel, inks, print-making and photography appear here from time to time. It is my deepest belief that we are here to create and evolve and I hope that I can reflect that in my paintings.
