I am a printmaker specialising in linoprints. Most of my prints are based on observational drawings that I
make whilst drinking tea in a variety of cafes. I draw on the spot into a sketchbook in wide range of media, including ballpoint pens, markers, pen and ink and watercolours. Occasionally one of these drawings inspires me to manipulate it into a form suitable for linoprinting.
I taught at my local art college for thirty years where I printed lots of pictures in my spare time. I was offered voluntary severance about three years ago, which I accepted so I could spend to spend even more time printing. I print in my shed/studio using a home built wooden printing press, mostly during the warmer months. I also write books about printmaking and my own sketchbooks. I enter lots of open art exhibitions and have had several one man shows in various parts of Britain.
