Join GoodChance on Wednesday 31st March at 6pm for their latest Change the Word Storytelling Show. It will combine poetry from 25 new writers from across Barnsley, Coventry and Sheffield, from 12 countries across the world.
Fun and moving reflection
From the award-winning company Good Chance, Change the Word is a fun and moving reflection on the stories which make us, and how we meet each other through words.
The show will take us all on a journey through kitchens, countries and dreams, as we sit together around the dinner table. The performers will join us live from their own homes, reading extracts of poetry, sharing recipes and creating music.
Poetry from 25 new writers
Combining poetry from 25 new writers from across Barnsley, Coventry and Sheffield, from 12 countries across the world, Change the Word celebrates the power of bringing the voices of our community together even when we are physically apart. Written in January and February 2021, Change the Word will take you on a journey through kitchens, countries and dreams, as we sit together around the dinner table.
And you will join in too!
Each audience member will receive a package through their letterbox with a script, props and instructions. For one night only, together we will make the show. Together, we will exchange sweet treats and poems. Together, we will imagine what welcome looks like. If you’d like to receive the package, make sure to sign up for the show by 24th March.
The event is free and everyone is welcome.
